Dear Valued Customers

As a follow-up to my July 02 "Notice 18" email regarding the "shipping bottleneck" caused by motor vehicles caught in a quarantine traffic jam in Australian ports, see the following.

1. MOL Vessel Position for July.

a. MOL has now named July's Mid-Month (MM) vessel the COMET ACE (or sub), one of the smallest vessels in their fleet. Loading resumes in Kobe starting July 25, with Kisarazu being the last loading port before departing to NZ on July 27, with the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) in Auckland on August 10.

b. MOL End of Month (EM) vessel has now been named with the "Bravery Ace" loading to start in Kobe on July 28, only five days after the COMET ACE loads, with Kisarazu being the last loading port before departing to NZ on August 01. The ETA into Auckland is August 19.

c. Services from Auckland onto Wellington, Nelson, and Lyttleton schedules appear unchanged, given the current ETA of MM and EM vessels eight to nine days apart.

d. August MM and EM vessels have yet to be named.

e. The coordination of MPI "Pre-Shipping Inspection (PSI)," given the 10-day cut-off requirement established by MPI, continues to be disruptive, which will only be exasperated when Heat Treatment resumes in September.

2. 40ft container vanning services.

a. Jet Logistics Japan (JLJ) is a professional Freight forwarder and cargo consolidator with expertise in vanning containers for the past 20 years.

b. Four cars stowage is now underway, allowing a minimum of eight forty-foot containers to be loaded daily or , giving us a wider range of larger vehicle types that we can use so that are shipped, totaling a maximum number of

c. Kobe container stages and ramps are now modified, with both forklifts and equipment delivered, allowing three containers to be stowed simultaneously.

d. Kisarazu stages and ramp modifications are in progress, with other forklifts and equipment to be delivered this coming week.

e. The negotiations with our "End-To-End (E2E)" service providers have been ongoing with partial success over this past week. I arrive in Auckland on Tuesday, July 11, to meet with the Jet logistics agent, stevedores in charge of devanning at Auckland and Lyttleton port, MPI officers, and transporter and drayage companies to reach agreements on better rates.

f. Container lines with weekly sailings and 30 days delivery time to Auckland Port, considering the bi-weekly sailings of RORO vessels, allows I¡C to guarantee loading on either a RORO or Container within 30 days of purchasing and delivery 30 days from shipping or a combined delivery time of 40 to 60 days from the day you purchase your vehicle from IBC.

3. Replacement of "Container & MPI Surcharges" with a "Temporary General Rate Increase (TGRI)"

a. Effective from July's loaders, all Container Surcharges have been removed and replaced with a "Temporary General Rate Increase (TGRI)."

b. A "(TGRI)" of will apply for all units shipped from July 01, regardless of whether they are shipped RORO or Container.

IBC Pre Shipping Inspection (PSI Services) "TGRI" Offset.

To assist our customers in Offsetting the TGRI charges, IBC has negotiated with our service provider Jet Logistics to reduce their standard rates for the below four PSI services.

A. 360 frame surround and Sound Bite services.
TariffJPY 15,000 reduced to JPY 7,500/unit
B. Electronic 3D Measuring (E3M) services.
TariffJPY 15,000 reduced to JPY 7,500/unit
C. Power Station services. (EV & Hybrid battery swap outs, language conversion services)
Tariff rates20% reduction off tariff
D. MaxCare Services.

A message from IBC CEO

We are now moving into week 19 or month four since the quarantine issue caused by snails being found on board a vessel discharging cargo in the Port of Melbourne, resulting in over 50 car carriers to anchor offshore, waiting for Australian quarantine services to clear each boat before the car carriers discharged her cargo and rotated back into service.

Being able to ship within 30 days of you purchasing your vehicles from IBC with certainty has allowed us at IBC to fully restore buying and buy trip services using both RORO vessels with biweekly sailings as our "Preferred Shipping Option (PSO)" and Containers with weekly sailings as our "Adjustable Shipping Option (ASO)" allows us to deliver your vehicles with certainty within six to eight weeks of you purchasing them from IBC.

Negotiations over this past week with our "End to End (E2E)" service providers have been partially successful, with further talks to continue when I arrive in NZ Tuesday, July 11. As our negotiations improve with our E2E service providers, we will immediately notify you of any changes to the TGRI, with the end goal being to remove all TGRI rates being that container delivery costs have negotiated down to that equal to RORO rates.

We are in this together, and until we can remove the "TGRI" rates, 360FS, Soundbite, and E3M tariffs will be reduced by 50%.

PowerStation and MaxCare pre-shipping service rates are reduced by 20%.

These discounted rates will apply only as long as the "TGRI" remains in place.

I am incredibly proud of all the I¡Cs and Jet Logistics staff and the "E2D" service providers who have worked tirelessly with us to solve this bottleneck problem, allowing us to fully restore all buying and buying trip services from July 01.

My weekly notices will only be sent when there is a change to the "TGRI" rates and if or when RORO services are fully restored, allowing us to suspend using containers as our "Adjustable Shipping Options (ASO)."

Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions, concerns, or suggestions.

Dear Valued Customers

As a follow-up to my June 25 "Notice 17" email regarding the "shipping bottleneck" caused by motor vehicles caught in a quarantine traffic jam in Australian ports, see the following.

1. MOL Vessel Position for July.

a. MOL has now named July's Mid-Month vessel the COMET ACE (or sub), one of the smallest vessels in their fleet. Loading resumes in Kobe starting July 21, with Kisarazu being the last loading port before departing to NZ on July 26. This vessel will sail directly to NZ and not via Australia, with the estimated arrival time (ETA) scheduled for Sunday, August 09.

b. MOL has yet to name their End of Month vessel; however, loading is scheduled to start in Kobe on July 26, only five days after the COMET ACE loads, with Kisarazu being the last loading port before departing to NZ on July 30. This vessel will also sail directly to NZ; their ETA is August 17. As this vessel has yet to be named, there is no indication of the size and allocation volumes, and the possibility of them changing this vessel remains.

c. The End Month loader has continued services from Auckland onto Wellington, Nelson, and Lyttleton. However, this may change depending on if the MM and EM vessels arrive earlier in Auckland than scheduled.

d. The coordination of MPI “Pre Shipping Inspection (PSI),” given the 10-day cut-off requirement established by MPI, continues to be disruptive, which will only be exasperated when Heat Treatment resumes in September.

2. 40ft container vanning services.

a. Jet Logistics Japan (JLJ) is a professional Freight forwarder and cargo consolidator with anning containers for the past 20 years.

b. Several different stowage combinations were trialed, and it was unanimously agreed that the stowage of four cars would allow a minimum of eight forty-foot containers to be loaded daily or , giving us a wider range of larger vehicle types that we can use so that are shipped totaling a maximum number of

c. To achieve this result, more equipment is on order, loading ramps and stages modified, and a larger parcel of land nearby current operations is leased, allowing the increase of container movements in and out of the customs bonded facility not to interrupt the existing processes.

d. Negotiations with the “End To End (E2E)” service providers are ongoing, and we aim to reach agreements on better rates with an increase in the extra volume of containers by July 09, which we will immediately pass on to you.

e. Container lines with weekly sailings and 30 days delivery time to Auckland Port compared to the bi-weekly sailings of RORO vessels mean that vehicle delivery time from purchasing vehicles is equal regardless of being shipped using container and/or RORO. If MOL decides to re-direct their RORO vessels via Australia, this adds another seven to ten days to the transit time.

3. Replacement of "Container & MPI Surcharges" with a "Temporary General Rate Increase (TGRI)"

The following changes to all surcharges are in effect from July's loaders.

a. The inland trucking rate for units purchased from the Tokai/Nagoya region of to Kobe for vanning

b. A Container Surcharge (CNS) of

c. A temporary MPI Surcharge (MPS) of

d. A “Temporary General Rate Increase (TGRI)” to all vehicles regardless of whether they are shipped via RORO or Container. The TGRI rate will be announced on Sunday, July 09, once final negotiations with E2E Service providers are completed.

IBC Pre Shipping Inspection (PSI Services) "TGRI" Offset.

To assist our customers in Offsetting the TGRI charges, IBC has negotiated with our service provider Jet Logistics to reduce their standard rates for the below four PSI services.

A message from IBC CEO

We are now moving into week 18 or month four since the quarantine issue caused by snails being found on board a vessel discharging cargo in the Port of Melbourne, resulting in over 50 car carriers to anchor offshore, waiting for Australian quarantine services to clear each boat before the car carriers discharged her cargo and rotated back into service.

Shipping with RORO vessels is always our preference; however, the lack of preparation time to inspect and prepare vehicles for loading within the allowed ten-day requirement set by MPI continues to create uncertainty and confusion. When heat treatment is required as per MPI regulations starting from September 01, this will only exasperate the problems requiring us to find a solution to restore full buy trip, offers, and iDirect buying services immediately.

Containers ships sail weekly with a 30-day delivery time into NZ. With RORO vessels leaving every bi-week and 21 to 24 days if the boat sails direct to NZ and not via Australia, Fiji, or PNG, the shipping time using containers given their weekly sailing is equal to the time taken to ship your vehicles aboard a RORO vessel. Suppose MOL decides to re-direct their vessels to sail via Australia. In that case, this will add another 7 to 10 days of delivery time, making the delivery time using containers 7 to 10 days faster than RORO vessels.

For July, we will limit our vanning to a four-unit stowing method providing certainty that within 30 days of you purchasing your vehicles from us that we can ship them using containers as an “Adjustable Shipping Option (ASO)” and when MOL confirms vessel name, voyage number, loading and arrival dates and finally space allocation only then does this allow us to prepare for quarantine and structural inspections with our PSI service provider.

We are confident that this four units’ stowage plan will eliminate any scuffs or damage caused by high seas. If you identify any scuffs upon receipt of your vehicles, please get in touch with your Market Manager, who will ensure all costs incurred to repair any cars are immediately applied as a credit against your account.

Negotiations with E2E service providers are always tricky as they don't want to give us their best rates until we can guarantee the volumes, often referred to as the proverbial "Chicken before the Egg.”

A "Temporary General Rate Increase (TGRI)” will apply from July loaders for all cargo, whether shipped in containers or on MOLs RORO vessels. All efforts are being made to finalize the “E2E” rates with our service providers, and we will announce the new “TGRI” on Sunday, July 09. We are optimistic that we will be able to secure a “TGRI” between NZD180 to NZD230/unit.

Over time, with the assistance of our “E2E” service providers, the final objective is that we can continue to ship your vehicles in containers equal to that of your RORO “Ocean Freight Services (OFS)” rate providing alternative shipping options in the event of a similar issue occurring again.

I am happy to announce that full iDirect Buying and Buy Trip Services can resume immediately, allowing you to purchase any number of vehicles as per the terms and conditions of your VSA.

We are in this together, and until we can remove the "TGRI" rates, 360FS, Soundbite, and E3M tariffs will be reduced by 50%. Furthermore, PowerStation and MaxCare services will also be reduced by 20%. These discounted rates will apply only as long as the "TGRI" remains. When the “TGRI” is removed, don't hesitate to contact your Account Manager regarding rates to continue these services.

These last four months have been a trying time for us, and we appreciate your commitment to working with us during this difficult time. I am also very proud of all the IBCs and Jet Logistics staff who have worked tirelessly to solve this bottleneck problem, allowing us to restore full services immediately.

Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions.

Dear Valued Customers

As a follow-up to my 2nd April email, "partially" resuming iDirect and Buy Trip services due to the "shipping bottleneck" caused by motor vehicles being caught up in a quarantine traffic jam in Australian ports resulting in more than 60,000 new and used motor vehicles held up aboard more than 24 Car Carrier Vessels anchored offshore at Australia's west coast ports unable to discharge their cargo, I provide the following update.

Containerizing at Kobe was scheduled to resume on Friday, April 7th, anticipating that MPI would have consented to our Border Inspection Organizations (BIOs) expanding the scope of their quarantine services to include vehicles loaded into containers on Thursday, April 6th.

Despite their best efforts, MPI has yet to provide that consent. We expect that this consent will come early this coming week.

We are also happy to report that heat treatment of vehicles is no longer necessary for cargo shipped.

1. MOL Car Carrier Vessel Position for April

a. For Aprils Mid-Month (MM) and End of Month (EM) vessels MOL has confirmed that they will position their smaller vessels due to the current congestion position getting worse.
b. Our carrier MOL maintains that this traffic jam and bottleneck will take 4 to 6 months to work through and for regular services to resume.
c. The "Priority Shipping Rules" will apply as outlined in my 20th March notice, and without exception, allow us to be fair and reasonable to all our valued customers; the "First in First Out (FIFO)" rule will also apply.

c. 40ft high-cube container vanning will be limited to Kobe and Kisarazu.
d. Units purchased from the Tokai/Nagoya region at an inland trucking rate of JPY10,000/unit will be invoiced to cover delivery to Kobe for container vanning.
e. The following vanning plan will allow JLJ to load five units per container.

f. De-vanning within the Ports of Auckland and Lyttleton's MPIs-approved transitional facilities will minimize the number of container movements, reducing the risk of damage and allowing us to deliver your cars to you quickly and safely.

3. Temporary Surcharges

a. Container Surcharge (CNS) of NZD374/unit will be invoiced to all consignees using container vanning services.
b. A temporary MPI Surcharge (MPS) of NZD80/unit will be invoiced until our MPI Border Inspection organizations are approved.
c. MOLs twice monthly RORO service will not incur any surcharges.
d. Vessel charters may require a surcharge.

c. The above process will continue with weekly updated notices sent to you every Sunday at noon (NZ Time).

A message from IBC CEO

Despite "best efforts," MPI has yet to sign off on Jet Logistics NZs clearance processes allowing containerizing, to begin with, immediate effect.

There is still no certainty MPI will approve our BIO's scope of services this coming week; however, with Golden Week beginning on Saturday, April 29th, causing all auctions here to shut until the following Saturday, May 6th - Jet Logistics has agreed to have their vanning crews work through this Golden Week period providing the well-needed relief to the backload of almost 2000 vehicles held up at Ports of Kobe, Nagoya, and Kisarazu.

Our Logistics Service Provider, "Jet Logistics Japan and NZ," is poised and ready to begin loading five containers daily, shipping 150 units per week or at least 600 units per month.

I have had to make a best-guess judgment call that MPI will approve our BIO’s scope of services to include containers allowing us to containerize your vehicles immediately; please limit your purchasing volumes to 50% of the last six months' average.

My senior sales manager, Kazuaki Arai, and our Kyushu Manager, Shoji Nakayama, and I arrived in NZ last week, attempting to meet with as many of you as possible to answer any questions.

By the end of this coming week, Jet Logistics Japan (JLJ) will have met their throughput cadence providing the well-needed relief on the backload of vehicles held up in ports here in Japan, allowing iDirect and Buy trip services to be restored.

Jet Logistics and I remain active in the charter market, looking for vessels allowing us to ship between 800 and 1500 units.

These two options will immediately relieve the backload, allowing us to resume services immediately and wholly. At the same time, we continue to work with MOL on other solutions to the traffic jam in Australia.

Please call me directly if you would like to discuss this in more detail. We are here for the next two weeks and look forward to meeting you all.

Your continued understanding, cooperation, and support to my team and me are greatly appreciated.

Dear Valued Customers

As a follow-up to my 27th March email notifying you of my decision to temporarily suspend buying due to the "shipping bottleneck" caused by motor vehicles being caught up in a quarantine traffic jam in Australian ports resulting in more than 60,000 new and used motor vehicles held up aboard more than 24 Car Carrier Vessels anchored offshore at Australia's west coast ports unable to discharge their cargo, I provide the following update.

Containerizing at Kobe was scheduled to resume on Friday, 31 March but has been further delayed due to MPI not consenting to our Border Inspection Organization (BIO) to provide quarantine services for vehicles loaded into containers. We are hopeful that consent will be granted this coming week.

On a positive note heat treatment of vehicles is no longer required for any cargo that arrives in NZ after April 30th.

From Monday, 27th March, iDirect and Buy Trip services will stop and continue for another seven days.

Over the week, my team and I will continue coordinating with MOL vessel size positioning and space allocations, Jet Logistics vanning output, and the likelihood of securing a vessel charter and deciding.

a. Suspend iDirect and Buy Trip services for an additional seven days.
b. Partially resume iDirect and Buy Trip services for an additional seven days.
c. Fully resume iDirect and Buy Trip services immediately.

The above process will continue with weekly updated notices sent to you every Sunday at noon (NZ Time).

A message from IBC CEO

Suspending purchasing for the last six days was a decision not made lightly. We were on target to sell 2000 units for March, resulting in stockpiling over 3000 units in the Ports of Japan, unable to be shipped, which is a position that is not sustainable.

Our Logistics Service Provider, "Jet logistics," is doing all it can to load five containers per day, allowing us to ship 150 units weekly using the container lines' weekly services and shipping a minimum of 600 units per month.

I hope they can hit this pace by the end of this coming week, allowing for partial buying to resume starting Monday, 2nd April. However, if they cannot meet this cadence, I will likely have to push this slow start date out another week, with partial buying resuming Monday, 9th April.

Jet logistics and I continue to be active in the charter market, looking for vessels allowing us to ship between 800 and 1500 units.

These two options will provide immediate relief to the backload, allowing us to resume services immediately while we work with MOL on other solutions to the traffic jam in Australia.

Dear Valued Customers

As a follow-up to my 9th and 15th March email notifying you of the "shipping bottleneck" caused by motor vehicles being caught up in a quarantine traffic jam in Australian ports resulting in more than 60,000 new and used motor vehicles bottlenecked in Australian ports and more than 24 Car Carrier Vessels needing to anchor offshore at Australia's west coast ports unable to discharge their cargo.

MOL has yet to confirm the size of their April Mid-Month (MM) and End of Month (EM) vessels; therefore, we are unable to verify our Roll-On-Roll-Off (RORO) space assignment.

Containerizing at Kobe was scheduled to resume yesterday; however, this has not begun due to MPI clearance issues. Vanning should start sometime this week.

I am continuing to pursue multiple charter vessel options daily, however at this point have yet to be able to secure a suitable vessel that will provide the well-needed relief needed to clear the bottleneck of more than 2000 of your vehicles purchased from us, sitting on the ports here in Japan.

MOL has said that this traffic jam and bottleneck will take 3 to 6 months to work through and for regular services to resume.

The "Priority Shipping Rules" will apply for space as outlined in my 15th May notice, and without exception to be fair and reasonable to all our valued customers, the "First in First Out (FIFO)" rule will also apply.

40ft hi-cube Vanning Services.

a. Container Surcharge (CNS) of NZD374/unit will be invoiced to all consignees using container vanning services.
b. MOLs twice monthly RORO service will not incur any surcharges.
c. Vessel charters may require a surcharge.

Vehicles Supply Agreements (VSA)

IBC has received several requests from customers asking to change their payment terms to Payment on Loading (POL) to have their vehicles assigned to shipping as Priority 1 status and others from Priority 3 status to Priority 2.

Priority 3 customers' services have stopped until shipping services return to normality.

Your Account Manager will contact you with a new Vehicle Supply Agreement (VSA). Please sign this as soon as possible so accounts and administration can update your profile and lock in your shipping priority status.

Volume customers are requested to slow down their purchasing until the backload of vehicles at the ports of Japan has reduced; however, despite best efforts, we continue to add more and more pressure to our backload of cargo due to the bottleneck.

Temporary Suspension of Services

From Monday the 20th of March iDirect and Buy Trip services will stop and continue for seven days.

Over the week, my team and I will continue to coordinate with MOL vessel and space allocations, Jet Logistics vanning output, and the likelihood of securing a vessel charter and decide whether to.

a. Extend for another seven days to suspend iDirect and Buy Trip services.
b. Partially resume iDirect and Buy Trip services.
c. Fully resume iDirect and Buy Trip services.
The above process will continue with weekly updated notices being sent to you every Sunday at noon (NZ Time).

A message from IBC CEO

IBC has seen a steady increase in sales since January, speeding up in February, with March activity on track to reach levels IBC has never seen before. But unfortunately, this bottleneck needs to be in cadence with the current rate of sales we are experiencing. At the current pace, by the end of this month, more than 3000 of the units will remain sitting in the Ports of Japan, with no certainty of when regular services will resume.

Our logistics Service Provider, "Jet logistics," is doing all it can to ramp up the number of containers it can load daily. Once they have met their stride, it is expected that they will be able to up to 800 units per month,

Jet logistics and I continue to be active in the charter market, looking for vessels allowing us to ship between 800 and 1500 units.

These two options will provide immediate relief to the backload, allowing us to resume services immediately while we work with MOL on other solutions to the traffic jam in Australia.

IBC is committed to working through this challenging time to ensure that services can resume normality as much as practically possible.

I am incredibly proud of the effort that IBC and its logistic service providers (Jet logistics) in rallying around to find solutions to this bottleneck and shipping problems.

We are in challenging times, and for one, in the 35 years of running IBC, we have not experienced anything of this magnitude.

Please call me directly if you would like to discuss this in more detail.

Your continued understanding, cooperation, and support to my team and I are greatly appreciated.

Kindest Regards
Jojo Hemi
President & CEO

Dear Valued Customers

As a follow up to my 9th March email notifying you of the “shipping bottleneck” caused by motor vehicles being caught up in a quarantine traffic jam in Australian ports resulting in more than 60,000 new and used motor vehicles being held up on Australian ports and more than 24 Car Carrier Vessels needing to anchor offshore at Australia’s west coast ports unable to discharge their cargo.

MOL has had to reposition its larger vessels to North American and European services resulting in them having to reduce the size of their NZ bound twice monthly Car Carrier Vessels to half of its normal vessel size reducing it carrying capacity to half.

All MOLs contract customers including new car and High & Heavy manufacturers have had to their normal shipping space reduced including IBC.

It is anticipated that it will take between 3 to 6 months for this bottleneck to worked through and normal services to resume.

Despite this MOL have committed to continue to steam directly to NZ upon loading cargo in Japan so they are able to maintain their 18 – 24-day delivery time.

I am continuing to actively work on securing a charter vessel that will negate the need for us to use containers allowing us to deliver your cargo faster.

The container shipping line we have contracted with has weekly sailings with a 25–30-day sailing time to the Port of Auckland and Lyttleton. We continue to work with our logistics provider attempting to provide container services to Wellington as well. More information will be provided once this option has been secured.

Effective immediately the following shipping space priority rules will apply.

1. MOLs twice monthly RORO services & 40ft high-cube weekly Services.

• 1st priority. Payment on Loading (POL) i.e., FOB and OFS invoices must be paid immediately after the vessel departs.
• 2nd priority. Payment on Arrival (POA) i.e., FOB and OFS invoices a week (7-days) before vessel’s arrival into Auckland Port.
• 3rd priority. Floor Plan Service Agreement (FPSA) are subject to space availability with payment terms and conditions as per the terms of their FPSA. (Temporarily suspended)

⦁ General Information

⦁ a. First In First Out (FIFO) rule applies meaning that by priority if there are multiple customers that the oldest purchased units will be shipped first and continue in descending order.
⦁ Vehicles larger than 12.00/m3 and Electric Vehicle (EVs) will be shipped on MOLs twice monthly RORO Vessels.
⦁ Vehicles smaller than 12.01/m3 will be stowed in 40ft hi-cube containers using Jet Logistics vanning services and their contracted container carriers’ weekly services.
Jet Logistics Japan (JLJ) is a professional Freight forwarder and cargo consolidator that has expertise in vanning containers for the past 20 years.
Jet Logistics NZ (JLNZ) will manage the devanning, customs clearance, MPI inspections within the ports of Auckland and Lyttleton transitional facility and trucking to anywhere within the metro area of the ports.
⦁ 40ft high-cube container vanning will be limited to Kobe and Kisarazu.
⦁ Units purchased from the Tokai/Nagoya area must be transported to Kobe for vanning and inland trucking rate of JPY10,000/unit will be invoiced to cover this leg.
⦁ The following vanning plan will allow JLJ to load 5 units per container.

⦁ Devanning within the Ports of Auckland and Lyttleton’s transitional facility will minimize the number of container movements allowing us to deliver your vehicles to you as quickly as practically possible.

⦁ Shipping Surcharges (CNS)

A Container Surcharge (CNS) of NZD374/unit will be invoiced all consignees using container vanning services.

⦁ MOLs twice monthly RORO service will not incur any new rate surcharges.
⦁ Vessel charters may require a surcharge however all efforts will be made to ensure cargo being shipped on charters falls within your current OFS rates.

Vanning of your vehicles into 40ft hi cube containers start this Friday at Kobe and will begin early next week in Kisarazu. It is anticipated that it will take about 2 weeks for a minimum of five 40ft highcube containers to be vanned per day allowing Jet Logistics to be able load and ship a minimum of 600 vehicles per month.

To formalize your priority shipping status your account managers will be in contact with you with new Vehicle Supply Agreements needing to be signed.

Once signed our shipping staff will proceed to prioritize and process your cargo as per the above terms and conditions without exception immediately.

IBC has received several requests from customers asking to change their payment terms to Payment on Loading (POL) to have their vehicles assigned to shipping as Priority 1 status.

Customers that have Priority 3 accounts have been suspended until normal shipping resumes and the back load of cargo has been shipped.

Volume customers will be requested to slow down their purchasing until the backload of vehicles being held up at the ports of Japan have been shipped.

IBC is committed to working through this difficult time to ensure that as much as practically possible we have done all we possibly can to ensure your business is not disrupted.

This is an extremely difficult time for all and I for one in the 35 years of running IBC the first time I have experienced anything to this magnitude.

Your continued understanding and cooperation is appreciated.

Kindest Regards

POL Customers; The goal here is to have our customers to convert to Payment On Loading in order to get priority shipping on MOLs Mid Month and End Of Month Vessels. Hiroki please ensure that VSAs are ready so anyone wanting to convert to POL that they sign VSAs prior to notifying shipping of who gets priority.

POA Customers; With regards to POA customers only those that have a signed POA agreement on file will be given the secondary priority.

FPSA Customers; With regards to customers that have FPSA only signed agreements with signed executed direct debit approvals will be considered for 3rd priority shipping. Any customers that do not have direct debit approval are to be locked until such time as Manuel and Renata have confirmed that this process is in order so that supplying can proceed.

dssdAll other customers that do not have one of the above agreements in place should be locked without exception. I will work with 2Cheap Cars but it is important to have all other customers sign the revised VSA and FPSA before we can apply the priority rules as outlined within this notice.

July 8, 202107/08/21

Dear John Nelson,

You would have seen recent news and announcements on an increase in shipping charges from various vessel carriers servicing Japan New Zealand route. This is due to the Covid impact since last year and the rebound in new vehicle production and sales, rebates on EV and PHEVs vehicles causing new car manufacturers to get priority on space putting greater pressure on available space for used vehicles.

With 23% of the total south pacific carrier fleet being scraped over the last 12 months all carriers are facing a tonnage/vessel shortage and in order to maintain the current services to New Zealand they do not have any other choice but to increase their rates including both GRI (general rate increase) and BAF (Bunker Adjustment Factor) or EBS (Emergency Bunker Surcharges). BAF/EBS track the costs of VLSFO fuel using the Tokyo Index and increase or decrease based on the quarterly metric ton average of VLSFO fuel. The last 3 months VSLO average is US$520/MT therefore the carriers have increased BAF from $40 to $80 per unit with effect from the next vessel due to depart Japan on 12 July 2021. In addition to this the GRI will be increased by NZ$100 per unit from your current rate and this will be invoiced to you accordingly.

Unfortunately the above is unavoidable in the current environment and this is the only way for the industry to combat competition for vessels and space to ensure a sustainable commitment on shipping our vehicles. IBC takes this position very seriously and always do our best to keep any increase at minimum possible. As you could see even with the increase we are still considered one of the market leaders with regards to overall OFS rates and services and we commit to continue to do so.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as always.

Dear Valued Customers,

As implemented previous years following the MPI’s requirements, all vehicle shipments to New Zealand from 1 September 2020 to 30 April 2021 will need to undergo heat treatment (HT) in Japan prior being shipped to comply with Import Health Standard (IHS). This is to eliminate the risk of the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) arriving in NZ. The HT is in addition to the normal decontamination and inspection process the vehicles are currently going through.

The standard cost of the HT is $250 per vehicle as charged previously. This amount will be debited to your account and will be collected once vehicles arrive into New Zealand.

For more information and clarifications, please contact your Account Manager or chat with any of our sales representatives online 24/7.

To: Our valued customers in New Zealand

We hope you are keeping well at home with the unprecedented lockdown in NZ history.

This is definitely a challenging time to everyone, every business and every economy. When facing a time like this how each individual and business approaches and reacts to it really matters. Here in IBC we choose to patiently cope with a positive approach of focusing on what we could do for our team, for our customers to make things better now and later.

We have been taking timely actions to ensure our staff in different countries are all safe with many working from home since all our IT system and process are cloud based. Our communications and trainings among different teams remain uninterrupted with video conferencing and chat tools to ensure all customers support is attended to timely. We are making use of this time to work on improvement of the team’s efficiency and on making our online purchasing process seamless for our customers worldwide.

In New Zealand we have been working closely with our carrier, the port and our service providers including customs clearance and inland transport to ensure your vehicles will be cleared and stored (including documents, de-regs and BLs) at a safe place until the lockdown is over. PTS has agreed for us to store all your vehicles (on Martorell and Orca Ace) on their site at Sparky Road, Auckland and their storage fee for volume customer is $4/day. Since this is an unexpected cost beyond anyone’s control we are willing to support all customers by shouldering half of that cost and will only bill you for $2/day until your vehicle could be delivered to you. We trust this is in order. Any questions please contact our agent Jane Solon @ +64 210 8448142, landline +64 9 251 8152 or email keyalliancepro@gmail.com.

We will also reschedule the shipment of your vehicles which are still in Japan if requested so that they will arrive after the lockdown to help you avoid storage charges in NZ. This means we would incur storage cost in Japan but we are again willing to support customers to shoulder the cost during this difficult time.

While you are at home please be informed that car price at auctions is dropping due to COVID 19 up to 30% in some instances so if you wish to make use of this time get on our IDIRECT to place online bids. We have also combined forces with Go Car Finance to revolutionize the way you purchase your vehicle stock under an Integrated Credit and Consignment Package (ICCP). Our well designed ICCP offering which is just launched will help you sell more while keeping your cashflow healthy. Our streamlined retail finance package will also make the whole sales process easier for you and your end customers.

To: All valued customers of IBC

Season's greetings to all of you.

IBC Japan Ltd was founded in 1991 (originally known as International Boeki Corporation). Through hard work and dedication, we quickly expanded to other parts of the world and have continued to do so over the past 30 years. Having now shipped almost half a million vehicles to over 120 countries worldwide, we have decided to rebrand “IBC Japan” and replace it with “IBC Auto” to accurately represent herself as a global source of pre-owned vehicles, not just from Japan. Our company remains unchanged as IBC Japan Ltd.

With the rebranding of IBC Auto we have implemented a series of changes “for the first time ever” including changing and enhancing our IT system, improving efficiencies in our internal work processes, removing redundancies in manpower etc resulting in our more efficient operation and better services to customers.

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new IBC Auto website to provide a fresh modern look and vehicle purchasing experience to you.

The whole team here in IBC will continue to bring you the newest technologies and innovation in vehicle purchasing, continue to provide you with competitive pricing and the highest level of services and continue to strive for 100% customer satisfaction to earn and keep your trust in us. Wishing you and family a very merry Christmas and a prosperous new year 2020!
